Anatole France in memory of pets
In memory of beloved pet cat

Molly Humphrey

Molly picked me out at the Animal Humane Society. She was about 10 months old. She was brought in as a stray.  She had a litter.
I can still see this skinny little cat with her paws up on the bars of the cage because she wanted me. She slept with me and liked to follow me around the house and be in the same room with me. I especially miss her when I come home because she would meet me at the door then indicate she had missed having her nose and her chin rubbed for a while and let me know it was time. When her partner Kerry cat died, Molly took on more of Kerry's affectionate nature. I wondered if I should adopt another cat for her, but Dr. Whitman said Molly would thrive as a single cat and she was right.
She truly was my companion animal in every sense of the word and I miss her terribly. I will never be able to sand and repaint one of my kitchen windowsills because her paw prints are in the paint.

In memory of pet dog

Bonanza Jellybean

Bonanza was a great companion. The first dog of my own. Fun, loving and always there. I miss her happiness and eagerness to please. There was nothing she loved more than to play fetch with her sister. She not only was great at keeping me warm in my bed but also the best alarm clock I ever had. Although it has been nearly 7 years now, I still think of her often.
